FIVE S2000 owners brought their cars to our May 21st track event
It was a great weekend for NSXCA Florida Chapter members. We all met for lunch Saturday May 20th at the brand new Chateau Elan Sebring, a luxury hotel spa just completed at the Sebring International Raceway. The hotel is BEAUTIFUL! The views of the racetrack from the 3rd and 4th level rooms was spectacular, especially with the Formula Atlantics and Formula Dodges out on the track during our room tour!
Melanie Angus, sales manager for the hotel, hosted us for lunch to introduce our group to the new facilities. We plan to use the Chateau Elan as our headquarters hotel for our Aug.13th track event. One of the neatest features is a meeting room on the first floor which has double doors opening to the parking lot so you can bring in a CAR. Hmm....never dined AROUND an NSX before! The main dining room and lobby are modern and look out over the pool and the straight between turns 6 and the hairpin. NSXs will often reach 130mph prior to the hard braking for the hairpin.

After lunch our group headed back to the Inn-on-the-Lakes to get ready for the onslaught of enthusiastic track guys participating in Chin Motorsport's "Ultimate Sunday Driving School". Tech inspection started at 4pm. FIVE S2000's showed up and were the center of attention. We would have had SIX but Ernie Wilding SOLD his silver S2K right before the event.

Following the tech inspection, we hosted 40 people at a sit down dinner prior to our novice drivers meeting at 8pm. Instruction was provided by club members Brian Rasche and Rick Cuevas. Thank you to all the instructors who participated in the event!
Photos of the actual track day will be posted SOON. We are awaiting email contributions from multiple individuals and will post them in a few days. Keep checking back!
