Gee, what brakes are hiding under those nice "new" wheels Nelson?

The silence of a warm Central Florida morning was broken by the howl of a 3.0L engine screaming to 8000rpm on a Dynojet Model 248C Chassis Dynamometer at Rare Auto Designs during our 1st NSX Dyno Day.  Craig Hudson performed the rituals bringing his PC and the appropriate tie-downs.  Several members drove in from as far away as Miami to enjoy our day of testing, lunch, and a beautiful country drive to the newest Florida "mountain" golf course, Diamond Players Club in Clermont.

Joining us were new members Jude from Ormond Beach, Eric from Lake Mary (Orlando), and Vinnie and Mary from Merritt Island (who found us through the internet!).  Also in attendance, a Porsche 911 turbo (all-wheel drive), a new 996, a Type R, Pop's Honda Civic with a Type R motor, and a 944 Turbo S.

We had some delays initially because of the need to take coil covers off the plugs to get a tachometer reading.  After that it was dyno time.  Each car received two runs in 4th gear.  It was interesting to compare exhaust sounds.   Despite the heat (near 90 degrees) we all stayed to watch the runs (which attracted the attention of many drivers on nearby busy Orange Ave.).  Two white NSXs that were not a part of our group slowed down as they drove by.  We tried running them down but were unsuccessful.  Anybody know an Orlando white NSX coupe with license plates UMM 31U or TUSH MD?

Following a great lunch at the eclectic White Wolf Cafe, our group headed into the hills of Lake County for a spirited drive.  We noted law enforcement locations (including the usual Montverde police officer in his usual spot) and had an uneventful drive.   After about an hour, we pulled into the Diamond Players Club for drinks and snacks overlooking downtown Orlando and the new golf course.
