October 2003 will be a busy month for me! I'm attending the national Honda S2000 owners meeting in Austin TX folllowed by the NSX Club of America national meeting in San Francisco (Napa Valley). Here are some photos of the events for your enjoyment!
gathering on Saturday morning at Sondra's house for our country drive.....there were 8 caravans total with over 50 cars participating.
Here are some scenes during the drive
Oh, oh....I brake for ducks.
early morning fog....
Here we are crossing a stream bed where the road typically floods....thank goodness it's dry this time!
One of the many streams we crossed....with the road designed as a spillway...
Quick rest stop for a great view....note sheepskin covers on Sondra's car. Also front license plates are now mandatory in Texas and the police are cracking down....I guess our caravan won't blend into the scenery with the other Ford F150 pickup trucks...
PUT YOUR TRASH HERE OR ELSE.......
Fellow S2K owner Mandeep was generous enough to let ME drive his silver 2002 for half the trip...sure beats the Ford Taurus that I rented...
We became the main attraction at the Wimberly fair....." I think they're the Honda Spyders honey," overheard from one passerby.
SIGH.
This nice gentleman pulled over to let us by!
Another "wash" that we crossed...
Lots of these around....apparently tractor "fairs" are quite the social gathering here in central Texas
Only a few inches deep...thank goodness...
He came galloping over to check us out....and bolted at the last minute or we would have met in the road!
60,000 miles and still going...and going...and going.....
